Toddlers (18 months- 24 months)
We will follow the parent’s written plan for each toddler enrolled.
Children in the toddler class have fun experiences participating in large and small groups and individual activities that encourage development in everything from fine motor to language skills. They are encouraged to gain independence as they explore their environment. Children learn through play and they experience many exciting activities in language, math, social, and motor skills development.
- Social interaction- playing and sharing with other children
- Gaining independence- teaching and allowing children to do things on their own with help if needed
- Learning to explore and experiment, discovering things in their environment and thinking about how they work
- Learning to deal with emotions and frustration, hitting, biting, and throwing
- Matching and sorting colors
- Developing fine motor skills-puzzles, blocks
- Understanding quanity-1 block, 2 blocks, etc.
- Exploring their senses- tasting, felling, smelling, hearing objects in their environment
- Developing language skills- understanding most of the simple sentences spoken to them and learning to speak in three to five word sentences and carrying on simple conversations.
You are asked to provide the following:
- A picture of your toddler and a list of any special requirements needed
- If toddler uses a pacifier, it should be labeled with child’s name
- Disposable diapers and wipes, labeled with child’s name
- Blanket, labeled with child’s name
- 1 or 2 changes of clothes, labeled
- Sweater or jacket, labeled
