Transition (2 years- 3 years)
Transitions are children who are ages 2 and 3 year old who are not potty trained
Children in transition class are encouraged to achieve and grow in physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills. The focus is to develop self-help skills, language, and social skills. By encouraging the children to follow directions, solve problems, work cooperatively, and express themselves creatively.
- Self-help skills- understands and able to dress, undress, and recognize restroom needs and go successfully.
- Colors and shapes- recognizes and names primary colors, recognizes basic shapes
- Numbers- recognizes number 0 to10, uses numbers 0-10 in counting, compare quantities to determine more or less, identify penny, nickel, dime, quarter
- Languages- experiments with writing independently, pretends to read, listens and responds to literature, recognizes first and last names, follows simple directions
- Concepts- understands big and little, long and short, understands up and down, in and out, understand hot and cold, understands day and night
- Motor skills- able to run and jump, able, to clap hands, build with blocks, completes simple puzzles, draws and colors
- Social emotional development- knows home address and phone number, plays and shares with other children, puts toys away and helps with chores, able to work independently.
You are asked to provide the following:
- A picture of your child
- Disposable diapers and wipes, labeled with child’s name
- Blanket, labeled with child’s name
- 1 or 2 changes of clothes, labeled
- Sweater or jacket, labeled

Morning Routine:
7:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Arrival and Greetings
- Parents drop off their infants and say goodbye.
- Teachers warmly greet each child and parent.
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Morning Play and Exploration
- Infants engage in sensory play, tummy time, and explore age-appropriate toys.
- Teachers interact with infants, fostering social connections and early learning.
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Diaper Changes and Snack
- Diaper changes and individualized care routines for each infant.
- Gentle snacks are offered to infants who are developmentally ready.
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Group Circle Time
- Short group activity with songs, rhymes, and simple interactive games.
- Encourages communication and social engagement.
Midday Routine:
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Individualized Play and Care
- Infants engage in one-on-one play and interactions with teachers.
- Care routines, feeding, and napping are accommodated based on each infant’s schedule.
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Outdoor Time or Indoor Movement
- Weather permitting, infants enjoy outdoor sensory experiences.
- Indoor movement activities such as stretching and gentle movement are offered.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Story Time and Music
- Calming story time and soft music to engage infants’ senses.
- Promotes language development and auditory stimulation.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Lunch and Diaper Changes
- Infants are fed according to individual schedules, whether breastfeeding or bottle-feeding.
- Diaper changes and care routines as needed.
Afternoon Routine:
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Rest and Quiet Time
- Dimmed lights and soft music encourage a restful period.
- Infants are offered a quiet place to nap or relax.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Individualized Play and Care
- Infants engage in more one-on-one play and interactions with teachers.
- Care routines, feeding, and napping continue as needed.
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Exploration and Sensory Activities
- Infants enjoy sensory play, exploration of textures, and interactive activities.
- Teachers facilitate sensory experiences that stimulate early learning.
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Diaper Changes and Afternoon Snack
- Diaper changes and care routines.
- Gentle snacks offered to infants who are developmentally ready.
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Outdoor Time or Indoor Movement
- Weather permitting, infants engage in outdoor sensory play.
- Indoor movement activities and stretching.
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Music and Free Play
- Soft music and gentle movement activities for sensory engagement.
- Infants have opportunities for free play with age-appropriate toys.
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Individualized Care and Transition to Pick-Up
- Infants engage in individual play and care routines.
- Teachers provide updates to parents during pick-up.
