At It’s a Kidz World Daycare Center, we believe that early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong success. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can develop essential skills for school and beyond.

We have some exciting news to share with you! We’ve been recognized by Nebraska Step Up to Quality for our commitment to quality child care and education. This means we are going above and beyond state licensing requirements to better serve the needs of your child and prepare them for success.

We are proud to participate in Step Up to Quality, Nebraska’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), demonstrating our commitment to exceeding state licensing requirements and providing high-quality learning experiences for every child.

The first five years of life are a critical period for brain development, laying the foundation for a child's future success in school and beyond. Research shows that children who receive high-quality early education are more likely to:

  • Develop strong problem-solving and social skills
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Be prepared for kindergarten and beyond
  • Perform better in school and graduate at higher rates

At It’s a Kidz World, we go above and beyond to ensure every child receives the best possible start in life by combining research-backed teaching strategies with a warm, supportive atmosphere.

The child care you choose for your child can have a big impact on their future. Children who receive quality early care are more likely to show improved reading and math skills, attend college and earn higher wages. Step Up to Quality: Exceeding Expectations

We are currently at Step 2 in Nebraska’s Step Up to Quality program, which means we are exceeding state licensing standards by providing:

  1. More intentional and structured learning experiences tailored to young children’s development.

  2. Highly trained educators who implement best practices in early childhood education.

  3. Engaging, play-based activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

  4. A commitment to continuous improvement in our teaching methods and program quality.

Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines (ELG): Building Strong Foundations

Our curriculum follows the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines (ELG), which provide a structured framework for high-quality early education.

The ELG focuses on seven key learning areas, each carefully integrated into our daily activities:

  • Social & Emotional Development – Encouraging children to build relationships, manage emotions, and develop confidence.
  • Approaches to Learning – Inspiring curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Health & Physical Development – Supporting movement, coordination, and self-care habits.
  • Literacy Development – Strengthening early communication, vocabulary, and pre-reading skills.
  • Mathematics – Introducing foundational math concepts like counting, sorting, and patterns.
  • Science – Encouraging observation, exploration, and discovery of the world around them.
  • Creative Arts – Providing opportunities for self-expression through music, art, and imaginative play.

 

Each of these areas is woven into our daily routines, ensuring that children are engaged, learning, and growing in a way that feels natural and fun.
