Wve
been married for twenty-four years with three children and
two foster care children. I work for the state of Iowa for
sixteen years with Mentally and or physically challenged
adults. I love caring for children and people with special
needs. I believe that God gave me a special gift to use my
talents with special people.
My
Experience/Training/History
Licensed for four years with the state of
Nebraska, 16 years of experience with the state of Iowa
working with adults with special needs. Numerous hours of
training with adult and child care. Attend many workshops to gain more
information and knowledge to help children learn, play and grow. Ten years of experience with two foster
children, one with special
needs.
Employees
Our staff is committed to the highest quality of care and
developmental needs of each child. Every staff member meets
the required qualifications established by state
regulation. We employ people who are warm and nurturing, who
understand child development, who can apply their knowledge
in the classroom, who meets all of the state requirements,
who are mature and who respect each child as an individual.
We seek employees who value working as a team with parents,
colleagues, and volunteers.
Each staff member has on file three written references from
previous employers and/or supervisors. We require a
background check and physical examination for every staff
person.
Each staff member participates in continuing training
programs throughout their employment. Our staff is
committed to complying with the state regulation that
requires twelve hours of in-service training each year. As
well as CPR and First Aid Training. We promote professional
growth by encouraging our staff to earn the Child
Development Associate (CDA) credential first, and pursue a
degree in Early Childhood or a related field. Our staff is
committed to working in partnership with you in meeting the
needs of your child.
